SUMMIT CROSSFIT POLICIES
- MEMBERSHIP CANCEL
To cancel, please provide 30 days written notice before your next billing date for all auto-recurring memberships. There are no exceptions to this. All memberships will continue to bill unless written notice is provided to summitcrossfit@gmail.com.
Any and all changes to an existing membership such as upgrading or downgrading must be emailed to summitcrossfit@gmail.com. - HOLDS
We do not put memberships on hold (pause). If pausing a membership is needed, we will cancel the account and reactivate it when asked to. The 30-day notice of cancellation will still be applied and must be e-mailed to summitcrossfit@gmail.com - CLASS TRY-OUTS
While we would love for your friends to join us, please do not bring anyone in without first emailing summitcrossfit@gmail.com or calling / texting us at 828-242-4258. We require a 1-on-1 introductory session scheduled through our website for anyone who’s never done CrossFit before allowing them to jump in class. - CHILDREN & PETS
Any Children 16 or younger must be accompanied by a guardian when inside the building. The only exceptions to a guardian being present are children in a Summit CrossFit class, and the guardians have signed necessary waivers. Children are the responsibility of the parent.
Children without supervision of a coach or guardian should not be touching any fitness equipment (including weights, ropes, bars, rings, etc.) Any children in the facility should be informed of conduct during class and staying out of the way of adults using equipment when walking around the gym. Children are NOT to swing on ropes.
Dogs are NOT welcome and there is no exception to this. Dogs must stay inside cars and are not to be tied to an outdoor pole.
SUMMIT CROSSFIT RULES & ETIQUETTE
- IF YOU ARE ON TIME, YOU ARE LATE.
Please arrive 5-10 minutes before class starts.
While we understand things happen, please aim to arrive early enough to get your equipment ready and not miss any of the warm up.
A poor or rushed warm-up is a primary cause of acute injuries and chronic, long-term strain.
- WAIT UNTIL THE LAST PERSON IS FINISHED.
Your WOD isn’t finished until the last member in your class is finished. If you complete your workout before someone else, find someone who hasn’t finished and cheer them on. We guarantee there will be a grueling WOD in your future where you will be the last one standing and you may just welcome that extra push or cheer to get you through it. - WELCOME NEW MEMBERS.
You were once the new kid on the block. Remember when you didn’t know what an AMRAP stood for or where the Abmats were located? Our community is what sets us apart from any other gyms. Please introduce yourself to newer members and help them get acquainted with our community.
- RESPECT THE FACILITY & EQUIPMENT.
WEAR CLEAN SHOES.
Please take care of the equipment. Don’t tie knots in the jump ropes, don’t drag the boxes across the floors and don’t’ drop the kettlebells or dumbbells or any weight for that matter unnecessarily. - RESPECT YOUR COACHES.
Please pay attention when the Coach is explaining the workout and the movements. We ask that you refrain from loading barbells, grabbing equipment, practicing movements or discussing what you had for lunch when the coach is talking. While you may have heard the instruction for a deadlift one thousand times, it may be the first time for the person standing next to you.
“We aim to empower everybody through fitness, health and connection.”
